Overview
Production Interface Marking and Traceability Software
Production Interface is a software module in Pryor’s marking and traceability software suite. Installed on a PC, the main function of this module is to provide an easy-to-use interface for shop-floor machine operators to safely access marking projects (created in the Layout Designer module), start and monitor a marking machine cycle, including dot peen, laser, scribe and chemical etching machines.
User Instructions to Guide and Prompt
The marking project can be designed with a series of clear user instructions to guide and prompt the machine operator. Operator instructions can consist of titles, instructions and images or other media such as web pages or video. Processes can be unique for different parts, loaded by the operator or barcode / automatic input.
-Step by step operating instructions
-Images for operator procedures
-Traffic light controls
-Drop down selections and operation trigger buttons
-Customisable operator instruction messages
Workflow Groups
Marking sequences, created in Layout Designer, can be configured into workflow groups to help break a complex marking sequence up into a series of smaller subgroups. As the marking sequence progresses, each group is ticked, to indicate completion. An example of workflow groups:
-Attach fixture X
-Load Part
-Scan Barcode
-Start Cycle
-Marking and Verification.
Workflows can be used in conjunction with a variable or serial number object, allowing collection of data at runtime for incorporation into a marking cycle. Data can be gathered from various sources including keyboard, barcode scanner, RS232 and RFID tag reader. Several validation rules can be applied to the data and it can be logged, and duplicate checked if required.
