From premium drinks brands using packaging to tell a story, to confectionary manufacturers using packaging to create a reusable seasonal gift for the family, embossing is a key tool for designers using packaging to “epitomise leisure and luxury” with on-shelf branding.
As packaging manufacturers change to more responsibly sourced materials and increasingly design with environmental considerations front of mind, the use of embossing complements lightweighting and the use of recycled materials.
